Railway station awareness programme on protection of women and child and child helpline no. 1098

On the 13th of March and 28th of February in 2023, Railway Police at Nagercoil Junction Railway Station partnered with Gold King Charitable Trust to deliver an essential awareness programme about women and child safety. The Inspector, Sub- Inspector, Police Officers from RPF & Nagercoil Junction Railway Station, members of DSW Dept. Director & volunteers of Gold King Charitable Trust and CHILDLINE Kanniyakumari were all involved in the event. Mrs. D. Cathrine Mary, Director of Gold King Charitable Trust facilitated the entire programme discussing critical issues such as child sexual abuse and POCSO Act 2012 to effectively reachout to a broad audience consisting of around 350 adults who got informed about rail helpline no.139, women’s helpline no.181, children helpline no.1098 and helpline number (7010363173) that provides information concerning narcotics sale within their community.
