Community Clean-up Drives

Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board (TNUHDB) (Tirunelveli Sector) and Gold King (GK) Charitable Organization organized a grand cleanliness drive (and) awareness camp at Puliyadi Poonga Nagar on 29.07.2023 (Saturday) in connection with the centenary celebrations of Dr. M. Karunanidhi in Kanyakumari District. Mr. Raja Gopal, Assistant Executive Engineer was the chief guest of the programme.

Also in this event, Mr. Jaya Chandran Community Officer, Mr. Emmanuel Community Participation Assistant, Mrs. Cathrine Mary Managing Director of Gold King Charitable Trust, Mr. Mukesh Coordinator, Mr. Krishnan President of Puliyadi Poonga Nagar Association, the men and women of the community participated during the programme.

Event
Mr. Raja Gopal, Assistant Executive Engineer took the lead and created awareness that “we should always keep the surroundings clean where we live” and started the cleanliness drive by walking in the streets of Puliyadi Poonga Nagar. After the walkathon, men and women of the community, members of Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board and GK Trust cleaned the surroundings of the community by clearing the garbage and thick grass from the streets.
